Look at my campyness

By hillarybird
It's fitting, I suppose, that while I write my Camp NaNoWriMo novel involving a set of short stories revolving around camp, I would come down with a classic summer camp ailment.  I mean, clearly I wooed the Camp Story Gods, because now I am covered in poison ivy.  Womp womp.

Except it's not really poison ivy, it's actually an allergy to Virginia Creeper Vine.  I spent time on Saturday weeding the front yard, and I guess the people who lived there before planted it ornamentally...cut to me covered in red rash and hives all over by Tuesday morning!

So here I sit, covered in itchy redness through no fault of my own (I know what poison ivy, sumac and oak look like, and those things were not in my front yard...having grown up in the woods, I know better than that! And Virginia Creeper isn't even a three-leaved plant!).

Wordcount on the novel: 12,261

Count on hives: countless  8(
