Spring cleaning

If there's one thing that's been bugging me for AGES, it's the fact that when I first created my blog header, my computer screen showed it to look pretty good.  Later when I looked at it on another screen, it looked worse, and there were some texy/background issues that I hated.  So naturally I fixed it right away let it sit for like two years.  But no more!  I was reading A Safe Mooring the other day and she was writing about how hey, your blog should look good.  And then I remembered mine was bugging me for years, so this morning I took a grand total of twenty minutes (then an additional hour to get Chrome to work with Blogspot without crashing -- the hell?) to whip up a new header that's now 100% more truthful about the content of this blog as of late, AND I think looks better.  Plus, I finally did a reverse image search of an icon I've been using for years to discover the full picture that I love.

Better, right?  Not as lordamercy-girl-needs-to-fix-her-header-y now, right?  I mean, pretty good for someone who uses pixlr and fontsquirrel for everything, right?  Sad pathetic request for nodding heads and aw-sweetie-that's-fridge-worthy comments?  (I jest.)  (Maybe.)  (No really.)  (DOES THIS POST NEED MORE PARENTHETICALS????)

  1. I adore that picture! And truthfully, your header looks good to me (but then again I don't have any sort of fashionable header at all on my blog).

  4. I totally love it. That style of advertising from the beginning (?) of the century has always being my favorite. Her dress, the china, the teapot. It's just perfect. And I love how you integrated it in the new header.
